Kaidan spoke through his com, directly linked to Shepard. Still, there was no response. Gripping tight at the railing of their immobile starship, his biotics threatened to burst forward and destroy anything in the immediate vicinity.
Gone. Shepard was really gone. Settling the tsunami of Kaidan’s mind would take time. As with any storm, it hit and then survivors were searched for. After that, cleanup began. It took time before people came to terms with their whole life being destroyed, along with any loved ones that fell victim to the storm. Shepard was the storm’s biggest victim; the martyr that risked his life to save everyone.
Pushing off from the railing, Kaidan allowed his feet to take them where they might. Eventually, he found himself in front of Shepard’s room, the code to enter long ago ingrained into his muscle memory. After a moment, his fingers found the pad and the door slid open to show everything like it always was.

The Parlour IncidentOne day in July, I believe it was, I found myself sitting with several acquaintances in Christopher's parlour. It was one of those deliciously lazy afternoons which only the summer in her full glory can bring. At length, after much stimulating conversation, Christopher stood, producing a book of sheet music.
"What do you all say to a bit of music?" he asked.
"Certainly," I answered.
"Oh yes, please do darling!" Tabitha exclaimed, "he's quite the maestro."
Christopher laughed, shaking his head.
"Now, now love, I'd not go that far."
He strode over to the piano as the other guests urged him on. Ida entered the room bearing a merrily steaming teapot and more crumpets.
"More tea sirs?" she inquired, shooting sideways glances at her
